NEW YORK – 5 Boroughs in New York
The 5 Boroughs That You Need To Visit
POSTED JUNE 24, 2017New York City is divided into five boroughs. All of these boroughs are so unique and different from each other. There’s charm and excitement hidden in each one waiting for you to discover.
Manhattan
Manhattan is the most visited and most popular boroughs of the five. It is also the most lively. How can it not be? Most of the iconic attractions are located in this area including the Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and the Empire State Building. This is the heart of the Big Apple. There’s so much to do and see here and you’ll never get bored!
Brooklyn
When you visit Brooklyn, you have to walk on the famous and scenic Brooklyn Bridge. This bridge is so beautiful and romantic during the night and there’s even an area with “love locks.” Love locks are padlocks placed by lovers who visit the bridge and make promises with them. They are locked on the side of the fence and couples continue adding their own promises to the collection. We went to a bar nearby that had amazing views as well. Make sure to stroll through Prospect Park for a quiet and peaceful afternoon.
Queens
Queens is where JFK International Airport and LaGuardia Airport are located. It is also the largest borough of the five. We ventured off after getting off the bus and found ourselves in Queens. We walked around and found the amazing graffiti art 5 Pointz on Davis Street in Long Island CIty. It was so much fun seeing all the graffiti art made by artists from all over the world.
The Bronx
The Bronx is known as the home of the Yankees as this is where the Yankee Stadium is located. Other attractions include The Botanical Garden and The Bronx Zoo. The Bronx is such a fun and lively borough and the place where hip-hop was born. Celebrities like JLo and Fat Joe are from here.
Staten Island
Staten Island is a beautiful borough that will give you a break from the big city life. There are museums you can visit, beaches, parks and other fun family attractions. You can ride the Staten Island Ferry to Manhattan for free and enjoy the fascinating views of the city. It is definitely a place you have to visit when you’re in New York.
