COSTA RICA – Walking On The Hanging Bridges Above The Jungle
Walking On The Hanging Bridges Above The Jungle
POSTED ON FEBRUARY 6, 2019We went on a very exciting walking adventure deep into the jungle of Costa Rica. We crossed many hanging bridges, we actually lost track of how many bridges we crossed.
They were all exciting and some a little scary as we were high above the jungle. The tour was so entertaining and so worth getting wet from the rain.
Our tour guide explained about the different types of vegetation grown there and many of the species found along the rainforest.
Some of the most common trees were palm trees, trumpet trees, and broccoli trees. There were lots of beautiful flowers with bright colors and unique shapes.
During our tour, we were able to see the native birds, the “eye lash” snakes, frogs and tarantulas in their own natural habitat.
We were lucky to hear a monkey screaming echoing throughout the rainforest, although we did not see one up close.
We walked to a beautiful waterfall. If you visit during the very rainy season, the waterfall will be fuller and louder.
TIP: Since this is a walking tour, don’t forget to bring comfortable walking shoes or water shoes. It also wouldn’t hurt to bring insect repellent and a raincoat just in case it rains.
