I mean who wouldn’t want to do the same?   Once we have decided where we want to visit, our next move is to figure out the dates we will be traveling. We usually check out websites such as Justfly, Kayak, Expedia and Travelocity to compare prices and get the cheapest deals for the dates we plan to travel.   In addition to comparing the prices within the other websites, sometimes websites will offer an option to travel on a different date than you’ve specified, so that you can save a little. Keep in mind though that the reason for a cheaper rate is that there may be a possibility of a longer layover, a shorten stay at your destination, or a red-eye flight.   It’s also a good idea to start your search using big commercial and widely known airline websites, so you can have a baseline as far as knowing how much these big companies are willing to charge for your destination. We like to travel using Virgin America or Alaskan Airlines because not only are we airline members, but every now and then they will offer great discounts on their websites.   There are a couple of applications that we love and recommend that you can download on your phone and plug travel dates and destination to help you find the most affordable or convenient fare for your budget. Hopper is one of them. Yup, it’s the one with the bunny. You can easily compare multiple dates and places you want to visit. You can also set notices to update you on airfares and airlines lowering prices. Travel Zoo is cool too as you can often find deals on packages to amazing destinations.
